Ben Senior is an American filmmaker currently based in London.
Senior’s work focuses on the surreal contradictions of modern society, and the dysphoria of realizing you no longer belong in the world you live in. He explores the disconnect between our internal sense of self and the boxes we find ourselves stuck in, with a particular animosity towards the systems that keep us there.
His films have screened at several festivals, including the Sci-Fi London Film Festival, the Art of Movie Making Film Festival, the Syracuse Film Festival, the Midwest Film Festival, the Seattle Film Festival, the Orlando International Film Festival, the Method Fest Film Festival, YoungFilmmakers NY, the FROSTBITE International Indie Fest, and Pinewood Studios’ First-Time Filmmaker Sessions.
Senior holds a BFA in Film from Syracuse University, and an MA in Filmmaking from the London Film School. Senior has studied under several notable filmmakers and creatives, including actor Kevin Lucero Less, director Werner Herzog, writer Guinevere Turner, and director Richard Kwietniowski.
Senior has written and directed over 25 feature and short films, shot across 4 different countries.
